Ford UK Dealerships, Ford: I redesigned the Ford Dealer websites to keep it inline with the main Ford website while giving the dealers some individuality. Read more...; To achieve this, I designed 3 different homepage layouts, and created four colour schemes for the dealers to customise and personalise their websites. The design also had to be flexible enough to be used across 7 countries in 7 languages.

DoggySnaps, Dogs Trust: I worked as part of a small creative team on the highly innovative and cutting edge site, DoggySnaps. Read more...; The initial design was done by the Creative Director, which I then developed further. I was also involved in creation of ideas for different content, such as the stats on the Highlights page, and the Dog Show.

At the time of launch, DoggySnaps was one of the first examples of a charity harnessing social media as an effective way to earn money for Dogs Trust - the funder. Not only did the site succeed in raising money for the charity by encouraging events, donations and purchases through the 'print shop', it also raised the profile of the Dogs Trust brand and became a popular and well loved site, with an active community. DoggySnaps was awarded the Yahoo! Social Find of the Year 2007. Close X

ITN Source, ITN: ITN Source is an online video library for over 800,000 hours of footage covering a wide range of genres and themes. Read more...; The aim of the project was to increase the number of online sales the received, and to increase usability. I designed the Search Results, Email Template, Clip Bin and Basket on this site based on the initial design of the rest of the site by the Creative Director. Close x

THINK HIV, THT: I worked on the IA and the design for the THINK HIV website based on an existing print campaign. Read more...; The website is a source of information for gay men to dispel a few myths and give some solutions. The site has three main sections, which display the information in different ways. The website also has a Clinic Finder to help in the search for a local clinic with specific facilities. Close x

Citroen UK Dealerships, Citroen: The aim of the UK dealer website redesign was to support the global Citroen brand relaunch. Read more...; The styling elements were inspired from the main Citroen site as they wanted the users to have a very fluid feel from main site to dealer site.

Oscar and Jim, Anchovy Pictures: Oscar and Jim is an independent film written by Iain Weatherby, who approached me to design and build a website to promote it. Read more...; I did the IA, design, and managed the developer on this project. The style of the site is based on the old cinema look. Each section has different photographic backgrounds to give the user the cinema experience.

Oscar & Jim is a film trying to find an audience and Dara's stylish site is making that happen - that's why she has a credit in the film. Dara is great to work with - intuitive and fast. Looking forward to our next project together. - Iain Weatherby, Writer/Director Anchovy Pictures, 2009. Close x

The Apartment St. Ives: The Apartment St Ives is a luxuryself-catering apartment. The aim was to promote it by using the various techniques learnt from my 'Multimedia Technology & Design' BS(c) degree. Read more...; The simple and elegant style of design emphasises the luxury boutique style of The Apartment. The imagery and music used illustrate the key selling points of The Apartment in a alluring yet relaxing way. The Flash created gallery optimises the luxuriousness of The Apartment and gives the viewer a preview of their prospective trip. The Map, built in Flash, highlights the local attractions recommended by the Apartment's Owner, Alan Hocking (the owner) and past guests.

PRINT DESIGN

Gambado

I designed various promotional flyers to help Gambado, a children's play group, promote their business and therefore increase attendance and membership numbers.

The projects not only included designing new material for various events, but also coming up with promotional ideas. As well as flyers, I was also part of the design team who created the first two issues of the Gambado magazine, Play.

CONTACT ME

I have worked directly with clients to establish their requirements through looking at their company goals and usability testing with their existing and/or potential customers. I have had opportunity to lead projects, which has developed my organisational, time management and team working skills.

I also have skills in HTML/CSS and print design. I am first and foremost a web designer, but I also like creating print campaigns. I have experience in designing logo's stationary, brochures, leaflets, and magazines.
