The brief
Design a responsive website to replace the various programs & documents used by the Field Trials team at Sky to record any faults on products as they are being tested.
My approach
- Worked with Sky’s dev team and stakeholder to review the current process the trial team and trial members went through, and found the key things that were missing which would improve this.
- Looked at the gap between what they wanted and what they could get based on the technical and budget restraints.
- Broke the information down to what each user type needed and which device this would best suit.
- Designed the workflows and layouts for multiple devices and platforms including tablets and mobile.
- Ensured the strict branding guidelines were adhered to.
The solution
Trial members:
- Faults are now reported on their mobile devices easily from home.
- Personal & product details are saved so they no longer need to fill this in each time.
- Photos can be attached to each fault as they are being reported.
Trial team:
- New trials are set up more quickly with the single online system.
- Potential trial members are easier to find for each new trial with the new advanced search.
- Reporting is quicker as all the information is in one place.
